Citrus ‘Center of Excellence’ opens in Spain

After three decades producing innovative packhouse technology for the European produce industry from our other global manufacturing locations, Compac is proud to open a new ‘Center of Excellence’ in Valencia, Spain.

The completely refurbished 3800m2 facility is set to be Compac's new European hub and manufacturing facility. In what promises to be another chapter in Compac’s global success story, the first completed Compac system is already leaving the Center, headed for a South African citrus packhouse.


What the center means to the European citrus industry and surrounding regions


Demonstrating our commitment to the region’s growers and packhouses, the Center will provide customers with unrivaled support and service:

• Excellent support base for Europe. The Center will offer technical services to our customers in the region and ensure fast response times and local language support.
  
  
• Reduced lead times for projects in Europe, South Africa, North Africa and the Middle East. The new manufacturing facility will produce Compac processing solutions locally, reducing the lead-time for delivery from our factory to your facility.

  
  
• Excellence in Citrus. Compac is a world leader in developing packhouse technology for citrus fruit processing. The Center of Excellence will become a center for Compac citrus R&D, where locally based development staff work with you to develop targeted solutions for your citrus operations.

As global leaders in packhouse technology, we are committed to continuing our leadership position and deepening our partnerships with growers and packhouse operators not only in Europe but around the world

In early 2015 our Kiwifruit Center of Excellence opened in New Zealand and plans are in place to open another Citrus Center of Excellence in the US during 2017 as well as an Apple Center of Excellence in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand.
